Independence of Anti-Doping Organization of Hong Kong, China Limited
2023-03-14

Please be notified that the name of Hong Kong Anti-Doping Committee (HKADC) will be changed to Anti-Doping Organization of Hong Kong, China Limited (ADOHK) effective from 1st April 2023, with a newly designed logo. ADOHK is continuously committed to preserving a doping-free environment for fair play in sport in Hong Kong.

Since its establishment in 2008, HKADC have acted as one of World Anti-Doping Code Signatures, a National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) for implementing a world-class anti-doping programme in Hong Kong.  One of the features of NADO is to be independent in its operational decisions and activities. To ensure Hong Kong’s Anti-Doping Rules in full compliance with the “World Anti-Doping Code” and the relevant international regulations, HKADC will, no longer, be under the auspices of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) after 1 April 2023. Being financially supported by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administration Region, ADOHK is governed by a Board of Directors, who come from emeritus professor, world renowned medical practitioner, legal expert, finance expert, representatives from SF&OC and other major stakeholders who are devoted to fight against doping in sports in Hong Kong.

In this regard, the Whereabouts Policy, Anti-Doping Rules of ADOHK have been revised and will take effect on 1 April 2023. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight some of changes for your special attention.
