Athletes and their support personnel may now search the prohibited status of any registered pharmaceutical products in Hong Kong through the online resource DruginSport, launched by HKADC today (17 January 2011).

The database, developed based on the 2011 WADA Prohibited List, has maintained prohibited information of some 22,000 pharmaceutical products and ingredients currently registered with the Department of Health in Hong Kong.

The database will allow users to check prohibited status of products and ingredients both in- and out-of-competition by supplying either product name,ingredient, or registration number.

Athletes are highly recommended to use this bilingual and user-friendly database to confirm prohibited status of all medicines before start of use.
